Land Acquisition

The largest remaining tract of land adjacent to the Warner Parks is 451+ acres of undeveloped land across Highway 100.

FRIENDS began to purchase the first 129 acres of this land in 2004 to:

Funding

Between 2004 and 2007, FRIENDS raised $5 million to purchase the 129 acres outlined in blue on the map at right.

FRIENDS is now trying to purchase Phase 2, the Hill Tract, 324 acres including an old-growth forest.

The Hill Tract is appraised at $17 million, and the seller is giving a discount of $6.2 million. Government funding has provided $2.6 million. FRIENDS contributed $550,000. The private sector has, to date, contributed $7.6 million , leaving $600,000 to be raised.
